LA SEYNOISE : Overview

Born in 1840, ‘la philharmonique La Seynoise’ is the oldest association of the French Riviera, and one of the three oldest philharmonic society of France.

MAIN PURPOSE

·      practice music,

·      propagate this art through studying and performing musical works,

·      perform concerts for public enjoyment,

·      Playing music for patriotic ceremonies purpose

·      Perform concerts for humanitarian or charitable purposes.

FOR YOU : YOUNG AND LESS YOUNG PEOPLE

Ø In partnership with the Music Conservatory of La Seyne sur Mer, it allows young students to express themselves musically in the frame of their activity «instrumental practice »

Ø With some 100 talented musicians, ‘’La Seynoise’’, thanks to its varied music directory, makes it possible to reach all audiences from 7 to 99 years old: from classical music to the popular French one or international variety, through Themes musics and modern composers.

Ø Our association is now enriched with chorists et actors to perform operetas shows.

Ø It is one of the rare harmonies of the French Riviera to propose lyric music.

Ø Through innovative activities, ‘’La Seynoise’’ is also split into a chamber orchestra, a retro dance orchestra (Cacophonix), a guitar ensemble, a guitar ensemble, and mandolin duet, a bassoon duet, and a flute quartet

Ø We intend to open our premises to other entertainment offering theatre or music, without forgetting a partnership in the “philharmonic jazz” sessions organized by the Quadrature association

A 2019 SEASON RICH IN EVENTS

·      La Seynoise performs 5 representations of the operetta ‘au pays du soleil’.

·      We were there to play national anthem for patrotic ceremonies.

·      Our musical groups gave more than 45 concerts or aubades throughout 2019, contributing to the animation of the ancient downtown of our city.

·      We organized the harmonic festival in June, and we perform a special concert with our harmonic orchestra friend ‘harmonic orchestra La Six-fournaise’
